1920’s Finger Wave Updo!

Here’s an easy way to learn how to finger wave with a curling iron + get a great 1920s hairstyle for your Halloween costume!

A lot of you requested Downton Abbey Hairstyles and flapper hairstyles. This hair tutorial is perfect for both! It’s totally reminiscent of the 1920s and 1930s. You would have seen this on movie starlets in silent films and at lavish parties like those in the Great Gatsby (hopefully without the dying in the pool bit…). I think it’s perfect for your Halloween costume this year!

  14. Question, does this hairstyle hold well? I'm trying to find a 1920's finger wave hairstyle for a musical that I am in, but I'm not sure if some on them will hold while I'm dancing! Any suggestions? Will this hairstyle hold during long periods of dancing?

  15. Fingerwaves are wet styles made with wet styling products. This is more like a marcel wave which was made with a hot curling iron, though marcel irons are diferent than these curling wands. This is not real fingerwaves. Real fingerwaves are not achievable by yourself unless you are super talented lmao. I'm a student cosmetologist.
