Prom season hasn’t started yet, but it’s never too early to get some inspiration. Planning the perfect look takes time, there’s so much more that goes into the look than just the dress. You have the shoes, hairstyle, makeup and accessories to match too.

The best part about it, is that it’s so easy, you can actually save some money and do it by yourself. It matches every dress too, so you don’t have to worry if you haven’t found the dress yet.
You can create a very unique look by mixing up the colors. You can now focus on the more ‘important’ things, since your nails are taken care of.
This is what you will need to create this perfect manicure:
- Clear base coat and top coat
- White nail polish
- Black and nude nail polish (or any two colors that match your prom dress)
- Dotting tool
- Striping tool
- Optional nail decals and nail glue

This is how you create the design:
Start by applying a clear base coat to your nails to protect them, let it dry then move on to the design. Draw two diagonal lines, creating an “X” using a striping tool and white polish. Then, add more diagonal lines to create a lattice pattern and outline the nail with white polish.
Dip the dotting tool in white polish to create the flowers and drag the tool on the nail to create the flower petals. You have to repeat this process for each flower. Also, add some leaf accents and then the lace design is done!
When it comes to other nails, paint them black, nude or any color your prom dress is. You can also add nail decals with some nail glue if you want some extra glam. Enjoy!
