Get Shorty With It
Suns out, shorts out! You can absolutely wear shorts and you have a bevy of styles and lengths to try: from boho embroidered short shorts to denim bermudas. If you’re looking to keep your legs covered up (but still cool), reach for a pair of bermudas that fall just above your knee. Go for a pair of flowy, tie-waist shorts if you’d like a more relaxed boho look as you soak up the sun.
Breeze Through in Light Layers
If you’re planning on strolling through city streets or a sandy stretch, skip the thick knits and go for lightweight layers. Structured jean jackets (in a light wash) and floral kimonos are perfect vacation staples to have on hand.
Dress for The Weather
Headed for hot weather? This is the perfect time to take a sundress for a stroll. If you’ve got legs for days and want to show them off, go for a mini shift dress and strappy sandals (flat or not!), then add in a cross body bag as your hands-free carryall. If you’re not into dresses, try out a flowy pair of palazzo pants.
Now go on, be your own style icon during your vacation! There are no hard and fast rules for what to wear when you’re in your 50s so wear those pieces you feel fabulous in!
