Winter Fashion Essentials

1. Mock neck sweater

The low-key cousin of the turtleneck. A mock neck sweater is the easiest way to bundle up while you lounge by the fire.

2. Cable Knit Sweater

Whether you ride a cable car to work or like a good, festive knit—invest in a cozy cable knit sweater to keep the cold away.

Stylist Tip: If wool gets too itchy, layer a silk or cotton cami underneath to keep any irritation at bay.

3. Open Cardigan

Keep it casual and cozy with an open cardigan. Layer it over a white button-up for a day at the office or keep it cool with a mockneck sweater underneath.

4. Puffer jacket

Prep for cold weather with a puffer jacket—the best layer to stay toasty all day long. The best part? Layer them under your heaviest pea coat for a chic take on layering.

5. Colored Denim

Keep the color coming in bold jeans. Wear your colored denim with your staple knits and blouses—like a striped sweater.

6. Wrap coat

Wrap up in a wrap coat to combat any chilly winter winds. Grab one in a neutral color—like black, camel or grey—so your coat stays in vogue season after season.

7. Stretchy leggings

Slip into a pair of leggings for a day spent cozying by the fire. If you have to head outside, try out a pair of ultra-plush fleece lined leggings to add an extra layer of warmth (and coziness).

Stylist Tip: Leggings can be worn outside of the gym. Stretch your style by pairing them with a floral blouse and pumps for a sleek night-out look.

8. Denim Jacket

The denim jacket can (and should be) a year-round closet staple. When the temperatures drop, wear it over a sweater and under a puffer jacket.

9. Sweater tank

Two of our favorite things, rolled into one. While winter is still here, wear your sweater tank over a collared button-up.

10. Button-up Blouse

Go from a day at the office to a night spent outside (maybe checking out holiday decorations?). Wear one on it’s own underneath a wrap coat this winter or as a base layer beneath a chunky knit sweater. Warm and polished.
