WARDROBE ESSENTIALS – Key, Statement, and Basic Pieces | The Curated Closet

Hi guys! Today’s video is my fifth video on The Curated Closet by Anuschka Rees. I walk you through some of the exercises that the author recommends (but that I chose to skim through/skip), but I also wanted to devote a video to one of the most interesting insights I got out of this workbook – the difference between key, statement, and basic pieces, and how they fit together in your dream closet. Breaking out your wardrobe essentials into these three categories will help you to prioritize where/when you should invest your money. This framework has totally helped guide my shopping as I work to build my perfect wardrobe!

  1. Are trend pieces the same as statement pieces??

  2. I really like your top. I don't normally ask youtubers this but where is it from and is it still available?

  3. Thank you so much for uploading this series! I'm going to do the konmari method first and get this book for my birthday. I've been really inspired to want to document and upload the process, I think I'm going to do the curated closet in kind of the same format you did it, but personalized to me lol
I've been really excited for the konmari method, But I also felt like something was missing so I'm glad I have more to look forward to and will hopefully be able to find myself in the process!

  4. I'm gonna be sad when this series is over! This was really helpful! 🙂

  5. You're so natural and pretty! Love your happy and upbeat attitude too! Xoxo

  6. Definitely going to buy this book, looks great! Odd question: the neon throw on your couch, where did you get that? I love it!
